Plaques for 1st, 2nd and 3rd for each division?  Yow - what's that gonna set us back?

Would perhaps 1st and 2nd be enough?

If I work it right they might be free.  We build our own plaques and I'm going to talk to a trophy shop or two and try and get the placards donated.

If ya'll see Clarence Taylor give him a pat on the back and shake his hand.  He called me this morning saying he had some trophies and we could have them if we wanted them.  I'll pick them up July 29th when I'm up there for his Invitational.

Sorry you didn't make it Shane - had 33 shooters total and a great time was had by all.  All of the cubs and pee-wees received trophies.  Hope the little one is feeling better!

PS - signed up 18 new ADHA members!  We now have 345 members and growing!

Considering how many other clubs were having a shoot today I thought we had a pretty good turnout.

I think we definitely need to have another one next year but I think we need to do it alot earlier in the year.

Maybe the end of February or the first of March and try to promote it as an "early bird shoot" or something like that.

I learned some interesting news after we left the range today.  We had more shooters than Ingram had at Quitman, man Hurricane must have had a ton of people at the Wal~Mart shoot today.  I had a great time visiting with everybody, wish we'd had more shooters, especially new members but I can't complain.

BB - that was nearly 500 for the weekend and of course some of those shot at least twice!

I have all the new members entered in the computer and the ones from todays shoot the welcome packets are almost ready to be placed in the mail - those and the ones Darrell gave me will definitely go in the mail on Monday.

What else can be said - we did great today and thanks to all that showed to help - especially the cooks!

I learned that an awful lot of work goes into putting on a shoot and we wouldnt have been able to pull this one off without the help of Glenn and Central Arkansas Bowhunters.

Barry also earned a pat on the back for taking care of the registrations, score cards, new members, selling hats and shirts, and everything else he did today to make this thing work.

And Darrell was right in the middle of it too. He picked up all the groceries and brought his grill for us to cook on and also helped cook, make, and sell hamburgers and hot dogs, plus help pick up the targets.

I thought things went extremely smooth.

The only glitch in the whole thing that I know about was Darrell forgetting to get relish for the hotdogs.   :P
