Posting from the annual meeting.
« on: August 06, 2005, 12:05:37 PM »

Computer service is not so good here, but we have over a dozen members here now.  We are expecting more people to show up later.  Meeting is going well so far.

I just returned from the 1st annual meeting.  Great meeting - accomplished a lot - food and fellowship was great.  Too bad some of you others were unable to be in attendance.  Even pgooch showed for about ten minutes or thereabouts.  He came in at the same time as Cory Gray and Cory said he had picked Pat up hitch-hiking between Oppelo and Petit Jean! Grin

Ed Mulholland and Jack Dossey from Ashdown left early - hope they had a safe trip home - enjoyed metting the two of you.  Gene Williams and I left at the same time - after supper - I never saw him after that! Grin

We just rolled in, about a 3 hour drive for us.

Yes we had a great meeting and it was a great place to meet for the number of people we had.

I want to thank everyone who took the time to drive that far to attend the meeting.  Besides me and my wife and son, Lee and his wife was there, along with Gene, Matt, Paul, Darrell, Ed, Jack, Rodney, Sam, Barry, and Pat was there for a while.

Cory did his seminar and he also showed us some more information and studies they have done, he spoke for probably 2 hours, and it was very informative.

Bob Barringerwith the Arkansas Hunters Feeding the Hungary also had alot of information for us and was looking forward to us working together to promote both organizations.

I brought the booth up and Ed and Jack took it home with them to set up at the Fair, I hope yall did't get wet on the way home.

As I said it was a beautiful place and a great place for us to meet.

I was expecting Tony, John, and Sam Hutto, Sam where were you I thought you were coming?  Yall missed a good meeting, hope yall can make it next year.

If you want to know anything, just ask, I am beat from the drive, but will answer any questions.

Sorry to have missed the meeting, was all set to leave Sat. morming when I got a call from a renter about a water leak in a house, spent most of the day tearing out a wall to get to it, then puttin' it back together again. Never fails, you can go for weeks with no emergency calls and plan something you really wnat to do and something will come apart everytime.

We had a great time at the annual meeting.  We finally got to put faces with names.  The meeting was interesting. I would like to thank Bob, from Ark. Hunters feeding the Hungry  and Cory from the AGFC for their presentions.  They were informative and well delivered.
I would also like to say we got a lot accomplished and we will be bringing ya'll some good news about the 4 States Fair a little later.  Petit Jean is a beautiful place.  If you have never been there you should try to go.  Thank you ADHA for allowing me to be a part of the program.

Sorry I didn't get to make it. My family has a birthday dinner for whomevers birthday it is and usually on Sunday after church. This time they decided to have it on Saturday and I found out Friday. So I was at Outback from 4pm till almost 7pm. I guess next year I will do a better job of writing things on the calender. Glad it went well.
