Hi Jax,

I heard you were out here, so hello!

It is always a fine thing to find a newcomer to Tarot, and if you hang in there and keep doing exactly what you did here, asking questions and continuing to check and inquire, you will succeed.

You are on a website here at The Tarot School, which is absolutely cram-full of wonderful Tarot knowledge.  Then you have the additional fun of being able to discuss it with others when you get excited or intrigued.

I encourage you to come back here and post again, and also to check with Aeclectic Tarot, which has a vigorous discussion forum where you can always find someone awake within a day or two, or even sometimes within minutes.

You can also check Living Tarot Meetup, which has a busy message board where newcomers are always welcome.

But you know what?

It might be more fun to start something right here.  What do you want to know?  Have you looked over The Tarot School site and found something which intrigues you?

Hang in there, newbie!   Wink

Ferol, ardent Tarot School friend and supporter.

Two things to consider:  1) Nost people work full-time, and therefore are only online for a short and specific time.  2) Many people are from different time-zones, and therefore can't connect with one another in real-time.

When it comes to Message Board or Discussion Forum expectations as to replies, a general rule of thumb of a week for a reply to a post should be considered as a norm.  If a reply comes sooner than a week, well that's just icing on the cake.  Another aspect for better real-time communicating is knowing the time-zones of those participating on the Board/Forum and being available at those particular times.  Using a Board/Forum that has the function of allowing you to be notified of a reply can help establish better communication times.  Additionally, using Instant Messengers for Board/Forum members will allow you to know when they are online, so you can either go to the Board/Forum or IM them directly.
