Well hello everyone,

My life.

Born in Maine, riased in upstate NY feeling like the milkmans daughter.....talk about issues!  Lived in Germany, 1 of my 3 childern born there.  Lived in Texas. (visits to Florida, S.Carolina, Jersey, Kentucky,Maine, Ohio) Have traveled by foot, bike, car, bus and plane.  some college.

Have been to a few different faiths services.  Recently I have been reminded of why I do not enjoy such things.   What?-how can a group of folks claim to be spiritual-any faith/belief invite you, and bbbbbrrrrrrrrr!outsider that will never be welcomed and these folks are of the same mind?HuhHuh no thanks, I'll go hang at the cottage and listen to the wind blow as the birds sing, while I watch the deer come out of the woods.

1st job picking dropped apples for $8 per bin.  tied grapes, daycare, waitress, bartender.
Then I discovered gardening, started to understand why I always felt lonely in a crowded room, Like everyone (but me)knew...shes must be the milkmans daughter,I tried shoe horns and still got calloused souls. her shoes don't fit, shes walking funny!

Then life happens when you doubt, questions of belief get challenged.........and thats when Tarot found me.

My teachers, all that have been and will be in my yestardays and todays.  One thing remains...The more comfortable I become in my own skin, fewer teachers are part of my today.

I Think in tarot it has awakened me in many ways, I know what I believe and its a good fit for me. Now that I've discovered, through the use of my tarot study
I like being the milkmans daughter, give them something to talk about.  Something a little silly and creative.

I can't imagine a future without 78 pictures and the stories they tell.

Shocked

Possible  Conference Tutorials

Some people do not want to use the message board to organize additional conference calls to discuss teleclass content.

First I need to know  if you are interested in participating.

A Please respond to this email if you definitely want to participate at least initially.

B Also please respond to this email if you definitely do not want to participate at all so I can remove your name from the list.

C If you do not respond one way or the other to this email I’ll keep you on the list until informed one way or the other.

Second of those who definitely want to try out the additional call, (A above) what are your optimal days and times?

List  when available and when not available.

Morning, afternoon, evening

seven days of the week

You might also pick several calendar days and times when available in addition to or alternative to the weekly run through.

Send this info back to me ASAP and I’ll try to propose several times we may try our initial call.

Third method of contact. I have suggested Skype as a relatively simple and easy to install telephony system that we use for contact. This keeps costs to a minimum but there is a little learning curve.

We could also use the freeconferencecall.com system used by the Tarot School. I suggest one of us sign up (I do not need to do everything!). And then provide us with conference phone number and code # as well as agreed upon time to call in.

So folks the next step is up to you. Let me know ASAP what is your wont.

One other thing, I believe there are a couple of people who are not on the list I am using. I will repost this note on the message board. If you notice anyone missing either FWD them this message or send me their email so I can add them to this poll.

David:

You can find out about Skype by googling it. Simply it is a computer telephony system which is without cost if calling within system. There is a small fee if you go from system to any phone.

I am willing to install other telephony systems to facilitate the tutorials or just talk about tarot and what we’re learning.  It makes sense we all get some consensus about the system we use and the time we meet.

I have no investment whether Wald or Ruth Ann participate directly in the calls.

I assume tacit approval and expect that our group contact will be open to all teleconference particpants.

The participation of Wald or Ruth Ann could inhibit and encourage this process at the same time for different people.

Likewise their abstaining or disapproval is likely to quell extensive or any participation among us.

The idea of tutiorials comes from University where big lectures have regular follow up tutorial meetings usually with a student intern, rarely with the professor.

The process will strengthen understanding and bring out misunderstandings that can be addressed by Wald or Ruth Ann during regular sessions.

The point is to talk out the ideas, play with them, extend them, question them and in this process begin to make them our own.

I have great flexibility with time so others should say when as well as what works for them.

Let us know what you would like to talk or message about? Skype allows messaging while we talk. (Though it seems only station to station, as sideline chats.) Let us know the features of your windows LIM. Maybe that’s the way to go!

I would be interested, from time to time. Still there are only so many hours in the day and I feel that  a scheduled time would be appropriate. I would be valuable for us all to have a chance to discuss the lessons of the teleclass, to clarify and codify our own thoughts on a particular subject. I would like Wald to be on the line as well as any other class member who would like to join.

I have a phone service throught Comcast which allow calling anywhere in the US, unlimited, for a flat fee of $33 per month. But even at 5 cents or 10 cents a minute the call for the Teleclass or a conference call that you are proposing would be worth the price.

What is skype? Is it the same as the Comcast service? Voice over?

It was a good class, last night, and the thoughts peppered my dreamlife off and on during the night.   Smiley

I just had a flash for those of us in the Teleclass.

Because so much time is taken up with presentation of material we do not have a chance to talk about the material extensively in our own words and with our own frame of reference with each other so we can begin to integrate the learning.  Cheesy

I believe many of us would benefit from that opportunity. We may become clearer and more confident about what the ideas mean and incorporate them in to our life frame as well as tarot practice.  Shocked

It may also bring up associations and confusions that we can then get cleared up in class. Sometimes we actually do not understand something we think we do and hashing it out in conversation may make these areas clear.  Huh

Since most of us have computers I suggest one of the free telephony systems like yahoo MSN or Skype.  Wink

It is easy to create a multi user call at no long distance charge through skype or the other systems. (My skype number is paulnagy1231.)

If you are interested in this proposal chime in here at this messageboard thread and we’ll set up a time to chat on line or not.  Roll Eyes
