Hi there. I have begun using the tarot in practice as a therapist. I read Spectrums of Possibilities by Art Rosengarten and found it to be very helpful...just what I was looking for. He is also open to inquiry if you email him. Wish he was on the east coast for better access. He is wonderful. Hope that helps. I can use some suggestions as well if you have some. Be well, Laurie

What books do you find most useful?

I've been interesting in integrating Tarot & psychology for a number of years.  I have a background in psychology and my first thought was that they would be useful much in the same way that Thematic Apperception Test cards or Rorschach cards are used - as a tool for gaining insight into the client's psyche.  Of course they can also be used as an empowerment tool or even as an ice-breaker - something to help the client get started.

But what books have folks found most useful in combining these two disciplines?  I've read several and many of them seem more theoretical than practical.  They're still useful but just not quite the handbook I was hoping for.  Then again, I have a history of hoping someone else will do the work when I know that deep down I'll never be satisfied with following someone else's path.  So all anyone else's book can be for me is a a guide.   Wink
